WHO
ARE WE? - Luciano Carvalho Ventura, who is the Founder and the Executive
Director of the LCV is an Economist and Business Administrator, with a
post-graduate degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Business
Administration from the São Paulo Business School of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, where he presented his thesis on
dividends. Since 1980, he has
dedicated himself to Corporate Governance and shareholder representation. - Was a Consulting Manager at
Price Waterhouse São Paulo, and also held executive positions in several
Brazilian companies. - Was a Member of the Board of
Directors of ABRAPP – Associação
Brasileira das Entidades Fechadas de Previdência Privada (Brazilian
Association Pension Funds) – 1996/1998. - Founder and Member of the Board of Directors – 1996/1999 and – 2002/2203 of the Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa – IBGC - (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance), Brazil -
Took part in the World Conference in 1998 in San Francisco, in 1999 in
Frankfurt and in 2000 in New York, in 2001 in Tokyo and in Milan in 2002 of
the International Corporate Governance Network. Took part also in the Annual
Conferences of the Family Business Network in 1995 in Madrid, in 1996 in
Edinburgh, and in 1998 in Paris. As a Presenter took part in the Annual
Conference of The Family Firm Institute in Washington in 2001 and in London
in 2002. Also as a Presenter took part in the Conference “Corporate
Governance in an International Marketplace” promoted by the Center for
International Legal Studies in Sazburg, Austria on June of 2003. - Also took part in the Seminar on
“Formation of Capital and the Board of Directors” in Boston and New York in
1998, sponsored by IBCA/ABRASCA, in
the “Corporate Governance for Institutional Investors” Seminar in Chicago in
1998, at the University of Chicago and in the Seminar “Corporate Governance
in Europe” in London and in Paris in 1999 sponsored by the Brazilian
Institute of Corporate Governance. - Professor at the Qualification Course for
Directors of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance, and Lecturer at
several graduate courses and in open and closed seminars. - Published author of “The
Entrepreneur and the Southern Cone Market (Mercosul) – Business Potential and Corporate Management Tools:
Board of Directors, Executive Management and Other”; co-author of “Assets and
Succession – How to Provide Guarantee to the Heirs and the Business”. His work, “The new role of pension funds
and institutional investors and management of your permanent investments”
received an award at the XIV Brazilian Pension Funds Congress. -Was a member of the shareholders

Companhia de Hotéis Palace/Hotel Copacabana Palace, and of Teka – Tecelagem Kuehnrich, of Randon
